The Tourism Leadership forum was held on 23rd July 2012 at Kenya Utalii College. The forum saw the convergence of private and public sector leadership come together to discuss issues touching on the growth and development of the Tourism industry. The forum discussed among others; Operationalization of the Tourism Act, key projects being undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism – Resort cities, Construction of the Ronal Ngala Utalii College, revamping of the Jomo Kenyatta Public Beach, Tourism Satellite Account, Tourist Product and Service signage.
Also highlighted in the forum was Kenya’s participation in the Kenya London House which was an exhibition to showcase unique opportunities Kenya has to offer, to be held alongside the London Olympics, 2012.
The forum was also informed of the upcoming Investment Conference which will be held between 24th and 26th November 2012 at the Intercontinental Hotel. The conference aims to market the investment opportunities to major international brands and will benefit the country in attracting investments in tourism infrastructure. The Industry was encouraged to support the conference by registering to participate in the conference
