The Secretariat embarked on several regional meetings aimed at sensitizing both the members and non members in the regions on the role of the Association, benefits of membership and also provide a networking opportunity for the hoteliers, the meetings were also followed by election of office bearers. In this regard the Association held two meetings in the month, in Amboseli/Tsavo region and in the Western Region.

In Amboseli the following officials were elected:

• Willie Mwadilo        Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge         Chairperson
• Silas Kiti                      Voi Safari Lodge                                 Vice Chairperson

In the Western Region the following are the new office bearers:

• William Orondo           Sunset Hotel                                       Chairperson
• Regem Lugonzo         Park Villa Hotel                                   Vice Chairperson

We take this opportunity to congratulate the team on their election and wish them all the best in their new positions.

This is being an election year for the Association, the constitution requires that elections be held before the main AGM slated for June 2012. In view of this we will be holding meetings and elections as follows:

• 22nd March- Rift Valley
• 5th April-   Mt. Kenya
• 11th April-  Coast Region
• 12th April- Malindi/Watamu Region
• 12th April – Nairobi Region

Only those members who have fully paid their 2012 subscription will be eligible to vote or to vie for elective positions.
