Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) held a one day new tourism products forum in Nairobi, where players in the tourism industry and government met and brainstormed on the tourism product development, role of the private sector in product development, and bridging the gap between the product promise and service. The Minister of Tourism, Hon. Dan Mwazo, was the Chief Guest at the event.

The participants were challenged to explore possibilities of creating Strategic Business Units in a bid to strengthen the marketing of key products and re-brand existing ones. Businesses need to invest in Brand Managers, who are innovative, and fully funded so that they aggressively market  products to areas formerly neglected by the marketing arm of the ministry-Kenya Tourism Board.
