ABTA, FTO together with the Kenya Tourism Board, Kenya Tourism Federation (KAHC, KATO) and IGI International held a training at Mombasa Beach Hotel in March 2016. The areas covered were 

  1. Food & water management: Including supply chain management, food purchase, storage, preparation, and service and water quality and waste water management. 
  2. Accommodation safety & security: Including fire safety, swimming pool safety, general safety, staff training, patrols, security 
  3. Crisis & incident management: including information gathering and management, customer support and welfare, handling cases of rape and sexual assault, operator notification and accurate record keeping.
