Due to the prevailing slump in tourism, the Association in collaboration with the Union (KUDHEIHA) organized a press conference at the Stanley Hotel, to give the current situation of hotel business.

Following the  joint press conference with KUDHEIHA , a FAM trip to Mombasa, Diani, Malindi and Watamu, was organised to give unbiased reporting with due regard to the actual situation on the ground as well as interview people within the tourism value chain that have been affected by the down turn in business.
