The Association presented a memorandum on amendments on alcoholic drinks control act 2010 by KAHC on behalf of the tourism industry to the Senate Committee. This is a second attempt by the industry after the initial one was not successful and collapsed with the winding up of the 10th Parliament. It is expected that if the committee approves the industry recommendations and are passed by the Senate, then the challenges experienced and gray areas in the ADCA 2010 will be addressed.
Further, the Association received funding from BAF to engage County Governments in working out favorable alcohol laws that will help not only to address the real challenges in the society, but cushion the tourism industry that has suffered from the effects of implementation of ADCA 2010.
