Appointment of the Tourism Crisis Management Committee

The much awaited Tourism Crisis Management Committee has finally been gazetted. A major gap in crisis management has been the lack of timely reassurances/ statement to industry and overseas agents whenever there is a security incident. Other than dealing with a response to issues, there is also need to generate positive PR while countering the negative. It is anticipated that the Crisis Committee will now be able to swiftly address this shortcoming should the need arise in future.
Our CEO, Mike Macharia, has been appointed the Vice Chairman of the Committee.
