The South Coast members dinner was held at Diani Sea Lodge, in attendance was the Kenya Utalii Principal accompanied by the Head of Industrial Training Mrs. Mwakima plus 9 other lecturers from the College. The members and the officials from the college discussed the various challenges facing the College as well as areas of collaboration and improvement. The membership felt that they needed to be involved more in the admission of new students, and also the College needed to look at a review of its current curriculum. It was also felt that the refresher courses needed to centre more on practical and basic training for Waiters and Room stewards.
