The CS met a team from all mainstream associations in Mombasa and briefed them on the Government initiatives to provide security especially to tourism investments. He noted that the tourism industry was critical and needed to be protected. He emphasized that hotels were being given special coverage in security considerations and hinted that the Government had enhanced their budgetary allocations to boost security in the country. He promised to look into the issue of payment for police protection and recommended that he will explore ways to have this waived.
