Coast Stakeholders from across the sectors attended a meeting convened by KWS to discuss sustainable exploitation of natural resources within different counties.  Participants, including KAHC agreed to engage all the 6 counties in a meeting to be held early 2014 to help the counties understand the resources within their counties and how to sustainably exploit the same without causing a strain or unnecessary charges for the same. It was observed that most counties did not understand legal frameworks and polices governing some of the resources within their counties, and were in the process of drafting county laws that, if not checked, will be counterproductive to the development of the different sectors which could hurt investments.
