Coast Secretariat attended NEMA Stakeholders Workshop on launch and creation of awareness on Coastal Zone Pollution Prevention & Control Guidelines held at Bandari College on 7th November 2013. The main aim was to device ways of curbing pollution in key coastal and marine resources. Key to implement the 4R’s concept on waste minimization i.e. Reduce, Re-use, Recycle and Re-cover.  This calls for incorporation of recycling and recovery technologies and waste minimization in manufacturing processes. A monitoring framework has been devised to monitor and evaluate application of the guidelines.
