The goal for the Tourism Network is stakeholder networking bringing together regional associations & businesses to ensure effective lobbying to County Governments & the Central Government in a unified manner. Among the terms for Tourism Network are:
- To support the formulation of statutes for individual professional BMOs and lobbying for the enactment of the same,
- To share experiences / problems encountered and develop alternative strategies “to get the advocacy job done”,
- To share “intelligence” on future / planned regulation & support each other’s advocacy strategies.
Though this engagement we hope to have a more organized tourism sector with BMO’s that have capacity to represent member interests in counties as well as more effective advocacy on tourism & related matters at national, county & regional levels.
The secretariat was represented at the forum by the E.O Coast and Phil Mwavala -Malindi region Vice Chairman.
