KAHC was presented in an ICZM steering Committee Meeting held on 14th June 2013 at Mombasa Beach Hotel. The objectives of the meeting were:-

   •   To discuss modalities of strengthening integration of science and management in support of ICZM (ICZM forum).

   •   To receive updates on the status of the ongoing and new regional and national level projects and their contribution in implementation of ICZM Action  Plan.

   •   To discuss emerging issues/new developments with implications on conservation & sustainable development of the coastal zone and recommend  interventions.
