The Association conducted a one week sensitization forum in Western region. The purpose of the sensitization was to market the association in the region, recruit more members and empower the stakeholders to be able to deal with regional issues much more effectively. The forums were held at Kitale Club, Kakamega Golf Hotel and Kisumu Sunset Hotel, with random visits to a few individual establishments. During the meeting in Kitale, the officials had a brief discussion with the governor for Trans Nzoia County.

The exercise culminated in the association’s board meeting being held in Kisumu where several board members attended and had a luncheon with a few stakeholders in the region, including representatives from the office of the Governor for Kisumu County. This is a first in many engagements that will be done to capacity build and strengthen the region.
