The Secretariat participated in the above which took place on 19th February 2012 at the Fairmont Norfolk. The programme is a partnership programme of FKE and the Norwegian Enterprise Confederation (NHO) the Norwegian Business School-BI, Rhetoric Centre-Oslo and Centre for Corporate Governance (K). The aim of the programme is to strengthen gender equality in the workplace, improve women’s representation in management and control, as well as draw more women to the top echelon of the private and public sectors as part of the efforts to ensure sufficient qualified womanpower in all organizations and leadership positions.
It is the only one of its kind in the Sub-Saharan Africa, developed to meet Kenya’s Constitutional requirement of at least 331/2% of either gender in top positions.
