KEBS in collaboration with Brand Kenya has launched a voluntary certification scheme for hotel and related establishments aimed at certifying and branding establishments in compliance with the code of practice on good practice in hotels, restaurants and related establishments.
The certification process is aimed at giving confidence to the consumer that a specific establishment has proper systems to meet the client’s expectations.
Pursuant to this, the two organisation hosted a one day conference on this on 14th December 2012 at the Boma Hotel.
The participants were taken through the advantages of participating in the scheme that will see the certified organizations collaborate with Brand Kenya to brand the Country through the “touch of kenya” brand identity.
Members interested in this voluntary scheme are requested to contact the Kenya Bureau of Standards which will be doing the certification on behalf of Brand Kenya.
