PRIVATE SECTOR CONSULTATIVE FORUM ON COUNTERING VIOLENT EXTREMISM (CVE) ACTIVITY REPORT

The Association participated in the above forum which was held in February 2016 in Nairobi.  The objective of the forum was to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss the report, which discusses Violent Extremism, and the role of the private sector in countering violent extremism.

The report brought together views from the private sector, international development partners, local civil society, as well as religious organizations. The main discourse of the report centers on: the state of security in Kenya today, the role of county governments in CVE, partnerships and collaboration in the fight against extremism, impact of insecurity and terrorism in business environment in Kenya, and opportunities for the private sector to engage in CVE interventions.
