Kenya Maritime Authority Beach Awareness Forum
April, 2012

The public beach safety forum planned by Kenya Maritime Authority took off in the month. Continued cooperation with KMA will  enable ample safety on the beaches as well as save lives.
 
The anticipated out comes of this project are:
 
•         Overcrowding and traffic control
•         The risk to swimmers of drowning
•         Safety of Boats, Life equipment & Registration compliance
•         First Aid cases attributable to sea urchins and accidental cuts
•         Petty crime and sexual impropriety
•         Drug peddling and misuse
•         Pollution/Littering and Public health concerns
•         Tracing & rehabilitation of lost children.
 
We thank our Coast members for their overwhelming support in the planning and success of the forum.
