Most members had been visited by KRA just before the holidays for inspections regarding the old revenue stamps on alcohol bottles and cigarettes.

While KRA had the law behind it, the Nairobi Region together with the National Chairman and lawyers from Iseme, Kamau and Maema Advocates, met to map the way forward in order to stop further harassment of our members.

Following the meeting, the Association wrote to the Commissioner General requesting on the implementation of this new regulation. We shall keep you posted on any feedback obtained from the Commissioner General’s office.

In the meantime, we request members to please ensure that they liaise with their respective suppliers to ensure that their products contain the new stamps.
